Technology has made many things in life easier, and one great technological advance we've embraced in veterinary medicine is that of microchips. It takes about 5 seconds to implant a small chip, about the size of a grain of rice, under your pet's skin, and this can be done without sedation at any time. This chip can be scanned at any veterinary facility, shelter, or rescue organization where your pet may be taken if found. After the chip is implanted we register your information with a national database. According to the HomeAgain website: "Every month, HomeAgain reunites 10,000 pets with the people who love them".
